One Film To Rule Them All...

So yesterday afternoon Alison and I went to see The Return Of The King.

OH.

MY.

GOD.

Fantastic. Such a well executed end to the series. The whole trilogy has been a fantastic effort on the part of Peter Jackson and co., and I tip my (admittedly non-existent) hat to everyone involved.

Let's hope they do get to make The Hobbit.

Hollywood quick-fix filmmakers should pay attention. The special effects in all three films were fantastic, but they were not the main aspect of the film by a long shot. Peter Jackson has reminded us what it is like to watch a film where proper time is taken to make sure the story is told properly. It remains to be seen how long it will take us to forget again.

In other news, I'm back at work today. So glad.
